阿尼爾・賽伊 ANIL SHAHI

藝術家簡介｜

Anil Shahi（阿尼爾·塞伊）阿尼爾·塞伊是特里布萬大學（Tribhuvan University）中央美術系（Central Department of Fine Art）的視覺藝術家，擁有美術碩士學位。 他目前是加德滿都大學藝術學院藝術與設計系工作室藝術系的教員（Studio Art at Kathmandu University, School of Arts, Department of Art and Design）。

塞伊的作品主要處理社會上普遍存在的社會不平等、種族主義、和僵化的階級結構，常以詼諧幽默的方式針對社會之不平等進行批判，並帶有對於日常生活的希望與積極性。塞伊也常將傳統古老的神話主題，與不斷變化且步調快速的現代生活的各個面向融合在一起。他的繪畫與裝置融合了寫實渲染的超現實情緒以及文化符碼式的象徵表現。

Anil Shahi is a visual artist with MA in Fine Art from Tribhuvan University Central Department of Fine Art. He is currently a faculty for Studio Art at Kathmandu University, School of Arts, Department of Art and Design.

Shahi’s works mostly deal with social imbalance, racism and rigid class structure prevalent in the society. His paintings are satirical commentaries on social inequality flavored with witty humors. His artworks have a hint of hopefulness and positivity towards everyday way of living. He also merges mythological themes with the aspects of ever-changing modern lives lived in a constant rush. His paintings and installations are a composed blend of realistic rendering surreal moods and symbolic presence.
