桑尼・薩希爾・博帕爾(Sunny Sahil Bhopal)是一位唐卡繪師與當代藝術家,巧妙地將古老的西藏唐卡傳統與當代藝術敘事相融合。他的正規藝術訓練始於 2008 年,當時在印度喜馬偕爾邦庫盧的德欽穹果(Dechen Chokor)一座竹巴噶舉(Drukpa Kagyu)寺院內的香巴拉藝術學校(Shambhala Art School),接受了 Noedup Rongae 大師的指導,專攻噶瑪迦德里(Karma Gadri)風格。
目前居住在尼泊爾加德滿都的桑尼,在拉達克(Ladakh)的經歷以及廣泛遊歷北印度的經歷,為他的藝術作品注入了深厚的文化內涵。
桑尼的藝術是與歷史之間的對話,根植於藏傳佛教的傳統,同時吸收了中國古典藝術及受日本藝術的影響。
Sunny Sahil Bhopal, a Thangka painter and contemporary artist, adeptly merges the ancient Tibetan thangka traditions with contemporary artistic narratives. His formal training began in 2008 under the esteemed guidance of Noedup Rongae in the Karma Gadri style at Shambhala Art School within Dechen Chokor, a Drukpa Kagyu Monastery in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, India.
Now residing in Kathmandu, Nepal, Sunny’s ex periences in Ladakh and extensive travels across Northern India enrich his artwork with cultural depth.
Sunny’s art is a dialogue with history, rooted in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition while absorbing influences from classical Chinese and Japanese art.
